Sub-regional economic corridors such as the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) play an important role in ASEAN and complement the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025. SIIA Chairman, Associate Professor Simon Tay moderated a panel discussion on the role of sub-regional development areas in ASEAN’s integration. The panel discussion was part of the ASEAN Forum on Sub-Regional Development which was hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
