All eyes are on the upcoming US elections and what it means for us here in Asia. But one thing is for certain, Washington’s tough stance toward Beijing is likely to continue.

“No one thinks the US – whether under Mr. Trump or Mr. Biden – will be soft on China,” Associate Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the Singapore of Institute of International Affairs said in an interview with Kyodo News. “A contest will continue but hopefully like a boxing match with rules, and not an all-out, no-holds-barred ‘war.'”
