The end of Myanmar’s military rule in 2011 brought high expectations from its citizens and the international community. While, Myanmar has not met all expectations, Ms. Thiri Thant Mon, Managing Partner, Pegu Partners, Myanmar, argued that this is part of the democratic process and we must be patient to ensure long-lasting change in the country. She spoke at the SIIA’s webinar, “Post-Elections in Myanmar: Reforms and Opportunities Ahead” alongside Mr. Thompson Chau, Chief Reporter and Associate Editor, Myanmar Times.
