Between 2019 and 2022, e-commerce spending saw a steep increase due to prolonged lockdowns in the region. The move towards consuming through online platforms appears to be a fundamental shift, with e-commerce sites continuing to grow in 2022, even as mobility restrictions ease. ASEAN’s e-commerce sector is projected to exceed USD$100 billion by 2025.
