The SIIA held a closed-door dialogue on Wednesday, 5 May 2021, with the co-chairs of the Emerging Stronger Taskforce (EST), Mr. Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration, and Mr. Tan Chong Meng, Group CEO, PSA International, as well as its Roundtable and Corporate members to discuss Singapore’s economic strategies in a post-pandemic world.

The SIIA has served as the EST’s knowledge partner to convene a series of closed-door virtual roundtable dialogues with business leaders to gather insights and ideas that can be shared with the EST. A public report by the SIIA will be released soon. The EST was established by the Singapore government in May 2020 to provide recommendations on how Singapore can stay economically resilient and build new sources of dynamism in the post-COVID-19 world.
