Dr. Dawn Dekle

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Dawn Dekle, and we honour her memory and legacy.

Dr. Dekle served as a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) from 2005 to 2011. During her time with us, she brought thoughtful perspectives to discussions on global affairs and governance, and engaged with warmth, intellect, and generosity.

Dr. Dekle most recently served as the President and Dean of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. Her distinguished career spanned academia, leadership, and international development, reflecting her passion for both ideas and people.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Dekle. Her presence will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to know her.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and colleagues around the world.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by fellow council members and members.
