“Infrastructure of the Future – Financing Sustainable Growth in ASEAN” was the topic of the SIIA’s third high-level roundtable discussion in its New Horizons series.
The SIIA welcomed speakers, Mr Lim Wee Seng, Managing Director, Head of Energy & Infrastructure, DBS, Mr Satya Ramamurthy, Partner, Head of Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare, KPMG Singapore and Mr Pang Yee Ean, Chief Executive Officer, Surbana Jurong Capital who shared their views on opportunities in various sectors including energy & ICT and the impact COVID-19 has had.
This was followed by a roundtable session among business leaders, who noted that while Singapore faces strong competition, it can package and leverage its strengths, or link up with major players for investment in third countries.
The New Horizons series was started by the SIIA in support of the Emerging Stronger Taskforce. As knowledge partner, the SIIA has started a series of closed door roundtable dialogues involving business leaders to examine the future of Singapore’s economy and identify opportunities for growth. Topics will include discussions centered around key ASEAN economies as well as infrastructure of the future.
