ASEAN has picked Brunei’s Second Foreign Minister Erywan Yusof as the special envoy to Myanmar to mediate the conflict.  On 5 August 2021, the SIIA held its corporate briefing on Myanmar for the Institute’s Roundtable and Corporate members. Associate Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the SIIA, provided analysis on the appointment of the ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar as well as the pandemic and political turmoil in the country.
