ASEAN centrality has been put to the test in recent years with the changing geostrategic environment. On 9 December 2020, CSCAP Taiwan held the Roundtable on Challenges and Adjustments of ASEAN’s Centrality: Views from Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Dr Oh Ei Sun, Senior Fellow at the SIIA, moderated the discussion on how ASEAN strives to maintain and strengthen its centrality in the face of recent geostrategic and pandemic challenges; as well as on future cooperation between the ASEAN community and Taiwan.
