Policy issues in the digital space have come to the fore amid ASEAN’s digital transformation journey. Speaking at the first session of the US-Singapore Tech & Innovation Virtual Dialogue on 28 October 2021, Ms. Jessica Wa’u, Deputy Director, ASEAN, SIIA, highlighted the opportunities and challenges in the region’s digital future. She shared insights on the key challenges ASEAN face in terms of data governance and cybersecurity as well as areas in which the US and Singapore can enhance digital connectivity, governance, and security, to promote secure digital growth across the region. The virtual webinar was organised by the Pacific Forum with support from the US Embassy Singapore.
