As one of President To Lam’s first ASEAN visits under Vietnam’s new government, his trip to Singapore signals Vietnam’s continued commitment to regional engagement. Reflecting on Vietnam’s development and the evolving bilateral partnership, SIIA Chairman Simon Tay noted: “Vietnam has progressed greatly over the decades and is now a key regional player. Singapore has been a partner on this journey. In a turbulent world Vietnam has consolidated its leadership internally and balanced its relations with key external partners.
